6.5.15

Started turning off the power completely for extended periods to try and get the bill down to the least amount possible.  Of course the $19 extortion fee the gangsters at the Southern Company charged for me to have an analog meter instead of a smart meter would always mean that the bill would be that much higher. Almost as ironic, I could only leave the power off at night if I didn't have to have the radio blasting at concert levels to partially mask the infrasonic quantum feedback caused by overuse of the microwave band to carry data payloads.  Smart meters greatly add to and help cause this massive growing problem.  My local good 'ol cellular mast is but a mere seventy yards away. (http://www.thehum.info).

So mostly I have to turn the mains off when I am working outside during the day.  As summer and warmer temperatures are coming on, this becomes a problem keeping stuff like the refrigerator and fans running; the fridge to keep stuff cold or frozen, and the fans to keep Spike comfortable and some resemblance of air flow to keep the house from becoming an oven, which by mid-summer it will be one anyway.

I've had to keep the water turned off when I don't use it since day one here.  Underneath the house most of the plumbing leaks and somewhere under the ground between the house and service meter it leaks good too. You learn to revolve your water usage around what is truly necessary, and you really learn how to conserve when you live like this.

Hoping one of these job leads pans out.....
