TREND - SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE EP
About as British as you can get, making music that defines the genre. Brooding melancholy emo kid meets soaring day tripper. The wrapping of biting distortion adds a taste of downtown to their pub harmonies. Adam Whittaking did an excellent job in Reading on the recording and mixing of this disc, it is clear almost to the point of hurting. This added tension bodes will with The Trend, who play enough scary (Blood Sweat & Tears) into the mix to let you know they would like you to believe they too, hurt.
