Hate to see cold weather coming....
Cold weather in a house without heat is a royal bitch.
As is having to walk 50 yards to the street to turn on the water because you can't leave it on due to the fact it leaks somewhere under the ground prior to reaching the house that as of yet I haven't been able to find and it then leaks at each service junction in the house; so,
I save rain water which fills up a few trashcans as it pours onto the porch because that roof has rotten away from leaking for years; this enables me to flush the john without having to turn the water on, but is too nasty to use for anything else.
Not having hot water period also really sucks. This is because the bottom rusted out of the hot water heater over six months ago. You learn how to wash dishes without it, but taking a shower without it in the winter is pretty painful.....
It's a true bummer too that power only works in a couple of rooms @ the ponderosa.
No income makes fixing any of this a far fetched possibility.
Being severely limited as to what, if any, work is available because of physical health issues doesn't help either....
Then too, I have been without a roof over my head before and been homeless more than once, so bottom line is I can survive.
For that I am thankful.
