Yo, I'm 48 and need a job if anyone wants a good worker. I can markup php/java/javascript/html and do network administration and am willing to do manual labor if needed. So far in 2014 I've sent in about three dozen resumes to places hiring and signed up with all the temp agencies. No calls, yet. I ran my own farm and record store for most of the last decade till the State Of Georgia took the properties I leased for a highway project and neither paid me for the businesses or gave me money to re-establish (unless I paid to do it up front then they'd reimburse me a percentage of that - hard to do without money to start), so it's been kinda rough.
Doing whatever has to be done to survive, like most I've got bills of living (food,utilities,transportation) that must be paid and small temporary work from friends and hauling scrap to the recyclers has ran its course. I don't qualify for any hand-outs and don't want any, though something to buy food would be reasonable. Can't get food stamps, something about the county & state po-pos telling DFACS I'm a criminal trying to scam the system (?), still trying to get a good lawyer for that so if one will work the case pro-bono, holler. Seriously though, they can keep their friggin' "stamps" if it's gonna be a merry-go-round of madness tryin' to get some chow. Me and my dog Spike are getting pretty hungry so we're trying to get with some food pantries this week maybe get up enough petro to hit the soup lines. Would rather work for pay, so if anyone has anything, holler! I'm in Cartersville, Georgia, aka Land of the Law where they raid your Okra patch with swat teams and helicopters thinking it's pot. Come to think of it, that "might" be part of the overall problem, the G are outta control?
