A word about Robin Williams and depression.

Mr. Williams was a brilliant artist.  I know personally very little about him and his condition and life, and I have no idea outside of the fact he had addiction tendencies  in reference to how he was treated, or treated himself. From my own experience and with close to 30 years helping others, I wanted to comment on something related to treatment of depression which may not be specific to Robin Williams.

Cannabis and it's oils exists to treat depression, among other things. Herbs are not "just like" that dope drug makers are marketing to treat this illness.  If you have major depression, or even slight tendency for melancholy, try Cannabis outside of a simple mood modifier (not just smoking it to get high and/or party)  and in league with other herbs in a natural regimen.  I use tumeric, yarrow. heal-all, salvia lyrata, angelica, ginseng, hyssop and rosemary among many others.  Sure I still get depressed, yet I have noticed outward things I cannot control usually to be the culprits, internally however I feel at peace and strong. Nothing is a cure all, yet natural medicines allow a gradual correction of some chemical imbalances which foster depression. Something the great sciences of man have yet to perfect. Plants, gifts of the natural state, still in the long run, work much, much better.

While I understand many of you have found pharmaceutical drugs help you with your depression, I have seen those drugs do far more damage than help.  I know that is not the case with everyone, yet for those of you taking pills and other commercial medicines in your regimen of treatment, remember everyone should be allowed to grow their own medicines, their own herbs, without taking part in a drug trade, state sponsored and manipulated or whatever. Keep that in mind before you criticize something which perhaps did not work for you or you despise, or perhaps are just silent or fearful about speaking out on a public platform or not voting for a better realization.  Not everyone is the same.  Some, most from my experience, can make use of Cannabis, THC involved or not, and not just be a "pot head".  If it does not work for you, you can't handle it, or you are ignorant about it, because it's not useful for your treatment, does not in any way shape or form make it useless for others. Opinions aside.

Millions of you are being forced to needlessly suffer because of draconian laws. It is not enough to say some state allows some kind of medicine while others do not and an herb is still illegal in some nation which calls itself either free or advanced. For those of you who can only connect cannabis to "pot" and "getting high" and "dope", never delude yourself that the strong drugs used now to treat major depression are not wickedly powerful, mind altering substances. They ARE dope. Any drug must be respected and not abused. Allowing a drug or medical "industry" to sell it to you, is a one way street.

Word to the wise. Legalize.

RIP Robin.
