Forming 30th Anniversary Band - SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!!

I'm putting a band together to do some shows and recordings over the next year to celebrate 30 years since I first starting playing in bands and promoting rock n roll. I need the full cup - drummer, bass player and 2nd guitar player, then if I can find those I'd like to get a synth master. I'm NOT going to be the lead singer, so someone will have to be able to sing for real; screaming and hollerin' I've got covered.

First, this is not a "playing-the-past" group. We will do maybe a few of my older songs first since those are the easiest to nail down, at least for me and to get a song list to gig on. NO COVERS, DON'T ASK, until we have a set or two of our own stuff, then maybe, if we want to do that circuit to make $$. My older stuff is readily free to listen to by following links on my profiles. It will be the band stuff though, some of the experimental solo stuff might make it in, but primarily the power-trio kinda stuff I've done over the years. So you have to be ok playing that really nasty, gritty punk metal that are those songs. Moreso though, we'll do up new music for new recordings, and those sings will make up the majority of what we do and practice. Don't know what that will be, we will write this stuff, or, even if it is older stuff, it won't be stuff I've recorded before.

Second, I practice and have a studio in Northwest GA. I appreciate people from all over the world contacting me about the band, but unless you now live in or relocate to Northwest GA, this isn't your band. If you do want to relocate, I have a place to stay, free of charge.

Third, you won't have time to play in other bands or do other projects until we're playing out and after a first round of recording. Why? We'll practice 4-5 times a week, and as soon as possible play out as much as possible, and be recording the new stuff in-between. So realistically you won't have time for other projects for a while. This has caused serious problems with really good bands I've had in the past, members of the group wanting to be everything to everybody. I know some people believe they are superman, but this band will take most of your time, and dedication is a must.

Fourth, really there are no "rules". I hate that shit, but I do ask if you have to do "other things", like raise kids, be up your bf/gf's butt, work a full time job (that you'd never quit), stay fucked up on whatever, or deal with your personal demons; this probably isn't your band either. Leave the drama behind in your past life.

Fifth, finding gigs is NOT the problem, even good paying gigs, but if you to have "x" amount of dollars to perform, maybe porno is a better bet for you than a rock n roll band. I will play ANYWHERE to start with, and even though this is a 30th anniversary band, if you have a problem with playing house parties, comp gigs and benefits, I hear Led Zeppelin is hiring.

If you wanna rock, holler.
