Chain Reaction - Electric Playground
Over the past 15 or so years, Chain Reaction have made a name for themselves beyond their Detroit regional base. After progression of solid, steady releases, every kind of gig you could think of, the band has released Electric Playground. The Disc has great cover art and intrays, again there is the band's professional touch. The songs run from good originals "Shallow Valor", workable covers "White Room" to psychedelic blues jams "Burnin' Midnight Oil". While I'd like to get ahold of the masters and do a remastering, the overall production on the release isn't bad. Here and there a spot or two will make you wince a hair. The smooth guitars of Drozdzewski and Harabadian, the minimal powerchord rhythm behind the soaring leads, almost makes up for any blemishes. The band touches it's level of perfection on track 7 "Where's The Beauty", sounding very retro-stylish! Again, Detroit's Chain Reaction have continued to build their legacy with solid musicianship, and good 'ol original rock n roll. Hire 'em for some gigs, buy the disc, set the head straight, turn it up!. Contact: http://www.chainreactionband.com, chainre@yahoo.com
