THE GRANNIES - ERECTED LADY MAN

Roastin' early on The Grannies come out ripping with the punk metal "Chain Wallet". They continue parody and quickness with "Homo Moment", never really stopping as they slam into "Set To Stun", which could definitely be The Ramones reincarnated. Making the most of entertainment value, The Grannies tend to be misunderstood, but turn off the eagle eye and you've got a great rock n roll band. They don't really care, it all sounds like a good time in progress. They show off a southern anthem with "The Wrong Song", which would make both Tom Petty and Lynrd Skynrd proud. The Grannies take back their punk metal crown with "Drainpipe". Crossfire riffs bring it on! New York Doll fans will appreciate "Not In The Face" for late night entertainment. The cheese factor is high all over this album, but then too, so too are The Grannies. Let the party begin! Kudos to the fine production on this masterpiece by Jack Endino.
